Dave Curtis approach to fish-microwaving
This is basically two menus but the method for each is the same. Fast and easy when
you can't be bothered to cook.
option 1 or option 2.
Either way, begin by boiling a pan of water ready to cook noodles in, or
set some rice going.
- Option 1: Salmon fillet
- Option 2: Cod fillet
Defrost the piece of fish in the microwave in a small bowl. Put the "marinade" over and rub it
onto the fish. If it was a proper marinade we would then leave it for a few hours, but then
we wouldn't need the inverted commas. Cover the bowl loosely with a plate. Cook the fish in
the microwave, for 5 minutes (while the noodles are cooking,
if that's what you're having).
- Option 1: Finely chopped ginger and garlic, soy sauce, lemon juice
- Option 2: Finely chopped fresh green chile, crushed cummin seed, lime (or at a pinch lemon ) juice
